This Week in Trojan Athletics (2/5/24)

Due to weather, the HS basketball games for today (2/2) in Liberty Tree have been postponed.

Check out our newsletter of the month and make sure to give a big congratulations to the following students:
Celestino Archuleta is an Empathetic Collaborator. He shows compassion for his classmates and ensures that everyone in his class feels safe every day. If he sees a conflict, he is there to try to help and mediate.
Anali Garcia is a Positive Influencer. No matter where she is in the building, she has a smile on her face and spreads that joy to everyone who comes into contact with her. She takes on challenging work with a positive attitude.
Ashlyn Romero is a Motivated Visionary. She serves on our Antonito Mental Health Committee and was the artistic designer for the logo. Ashlyn also goes to ASU twice a week to take graphic design courses in pursuit of her dream of becoming an animator.
Jasiah Jiron, a senior, is an all around athlete and has led the school this year as the quarterback in football and captain of varsity basketball. Jasiah serves as a mentor to underclassmen both on the court and off the court. He is determined in his academic work. Coaches said he is a humble young man and has a lot of respect for everyone he encounters.

Center Consolidated School District is offering free ASIST suicide prevention training on April 11 and 12 in Alamosa at the Alamosa School District Family Center.
The training is offered to educators, counselors, community members, families, and youth-serving professionals—anyone who wants to learn skills to help provide life-saving assistance related to suicide prevention. The flyer is attached. They can only register 25 people total, so it is first come, first registered. 😊

This Week in Trojan Athletics (1/29/24)

The HS Basketball games scheduled for today (1/26) have been canceled due to weather.

This was a beautiful week to be part of the Trojan Crew! During the week our middle school Lady Trojans played hard for 3 days straight, our secondary students got to enjoy a ski trip to Wolf Creek, and our older Crew groups hosted whole school crew for the elementary! To cap off the school week we hosted our first wrestling dual since 2011 and had an amazing celebration of expeditionary learning to showcase student work. Thank you to everyone in our Trojan Crew Community to make this a special week for our students!
Don't forget tomorrow to check out Wrestling in Center at 12:00 pm; High School Girls & Boys Basketball Teams' home game at 5:00 pm. Saturday we have Wrestling in Center at 9:00 am; High School Girls & Boys Basketball Teams' go to take on the Panthers at Sierra Grande at 5:00 pm.
