Trojan Highlight:Mrs. Hamilton has worked for the school district for 5+ years. She is now our librarian, but she used to be a substitute teacher. Her favorite part of working in the district is the students. Her exact quote is “I love working with the students, they are great kids, every single one of them.” She enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, from classical to rock. She said “when I am not at the school, and I find some down time, I love to sew. However, it’s difficult finding the time to do it.”Let’s give a shout out to Mrs. Hamilton!
The SCSD BOE work session that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The regular meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.

Trojan Highlight: Miss Zyra is the High School Counselor, but also wears many other hats for the district. She has worked in the school district for 1 ½ years now. Her favorite thing about working for the school is the 4-day work week! Her favorite type of music is country. When she’s not wearing one of her many hats during the school week, she enjoys swimming, camping, hiking, and cooking . Let’s give a shout-out to miss Zyra.

Trojan Highlight: Let’s give a shout out to Ms. Montoya. She's our wonderful first grade teacher. Her favorite part of working with us is experiencing and living “Crew” with students and staff. She enjoys listening to country music. During her time away from school she enjoys gardening, preserving foods, playing and working with her dogs, singing with Mariachi band and her church choir, landscaping and spending time with family.
Trojan Highlight: Mr. Ruybal is our reading interventionist, and has worked with the district for 10+ years now. His favorite part about working here is working with elementary students! When he is not here at the school he enjoys fishing, and traveling to different cities to try different restaurants. While he is traveling he likes to listen to a variety of music except rap and new country.Let’s give a shout out to Mr. Ruybal

This is a friendly reminder that school is in session this Friday, February 10th as a make-up day. We will also have early dismissal on February 15th at 2:00 pm for parent teacher conferences. Parent teacher conferences will be in the auxiliary gym from 3:00-7:00 pm. We hope to see you all there!

Let’s give a shout out to Angelena Romero. She has been our head start teacher for 2 years now and she loves it! Her favorite part of working with our district is that she gets to serve the community that she and her family grew up in. Her favorite type of music is classic rock , and when she’s not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family doing outdoor activities, finding a good series to watch at home and attending concerts.
