
On Friday, September 18, ASU will host a free COVID-19 testing event for all employees and students of the University. Then on September 19 and 20, we will host a community-wide, drive-thru COVID-19 testing event for residents across Alamosa and the San Luis Valley. We will stage testing each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McDaniel Hall parking lot.
We hope you will plan on participating. We have been getting the word out throughout the day and working with local media outlets to help residents across the San Luis Valley receive information about the upcoming event as quickly as possible.
This will be a fast, free and easy COVID-19 nasal swab and should take only about 15 minutes to complete. You can pre-register by clicking on this link: https://www.adams.edu/safe-return/testing/ Please use the Adams State Registration Form on the page.
Once you register for the free test you will be given instructions on how to get your secure results that will be available within four days of your test.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a mass testing event for the first time in the San Luis Valley.

This Thursday September 17th will be an early release for all students at 2:00 p.m. We will be postponing student led conferences at this time. Instead remote learners will be meeting with their teachers from 2:00-4:00. Families will be contacted by their teacher to schedule these meetings.

Households eligible for free or reduced-price meals at schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program may get up to $279 per eligible child in benefits to buy food. The last day to apply is September 23rd.

Tomorrow will be picture day for grades preschool through 12th grade. Students received picture packets yesterday from their grade level or homeroom teacher. Families needing additional packets should contact the front office.
Also, a reminder that on Thursday the 20th at 2:00 p.m. will be the elementary remote learners pick-up. Please pull to the front entrance to collect laptops & books your student will need for this quarter.

This is a reminder to all remote learners who have requested meal pick-up that it will be every Monday from 9:00-9:30 in the front entrance of the school. This service begins today.

Remote learners for middle school & high school will have their book & laptop pick-up today at 2:00. Please pull forward to the front entrance to collect materials.

We look forward to welcoming our middle school & high school in person learners tomorrow! Elementary in person will start on Monday!
Remote middle school & high school students have book & laptop pick-up on the 13th from 2:00-3:00 and begin school on the 17th. Remote elementary students have book & laptop pick-up on the 20th from 2:00-3:00 and begin school on the 24th.

A reminder to all our families preschool through 12th grade registration is today and tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in our school parking lot! This is for both in-person and remote learners.
